ADJ06499 Joel lives in a refugee camp in Adjumani with his many siblings and his mother who works hard quarrying stone but struggles to make ends meet. His father used to teach at the refugee camp school, but after he lost his job due to reduced aid for refugees, he returned to South Sudan, leaving his family behind. Being in the program has given Joel's life stability, allowing him to go to school and to be mentored and discipled by the staff at our Child Development Program. He is bright and is learning leadership skills by helping at church. Joel is a good student in Nursery school, his favorite subject is writing, and he loves to play soccer. He needs a new sponsor to remain in the program and continue his education.
