Right now, in communities across Uganda, local teams are visiting homes.

They are counting how many children have no mattress. How many walk to school with books in their hands because their bag wore out years ago. How many go to bed cold when the rains come.

This is how Africa Renewal's Christmas Gift Fund begins each year. Not with a list decided from an office abroad, but with a home visit, a conversation, and a need a family cannot meet on its own. A mattress in one community. A school bag in another. A duvet somewhere else. The answer is different every time, because the need is different every time.

By December, every sponsored child across these communities will open a gift chosen specifically for them.
