Raised by his grandmother after losing both parents as an infant, Denis Oketa understands hardship and perseverance firsthand. Living with his sister and grandmother, a humble farmer, Denis has relied on faith, determination, and the support of the Pader Child Development Program to pursue his education. Through the program, he developed leadership skills, a heart for service, and a deep commitment to helping vulnerable people in his community.

Denis dreams of becoming a medical doctor and specializing in cardiology. Motivated by the healthcare challenges he has witnessed, he hopes to improve access to quality medical care, reduce preventable deaths, and promote health education in underserved communities. He has the determination to succeed but lacks the financial resources needed to pursue medical school.
