Hamphrey is a remarkable young man whose perseverance and determination have enabled him to overcome significant barriers. As the second of six children, he grew up in a family where educational opportunities were limited by financial hardship. His father's modest income as a fishmonger was not enough to support the education of all the children, and none of Hamphrey's older siblings were able to complete high school. Through the support of the Mukono Child Development Project, however, Hamphrey was given the opportunity to pursue his education and build a brighter future.

Throughout his years in the program, Hamphrey developed strong leadership, communication, and public speaking skills. Once a shy child, he is now a confident leader capable of speaking before large groups and serving others with courage and integrity. He recently became the first child in his family to complete Senior Six, an achievement that has brought tremendous pride to his parents. Hamphrey dreams of attending university and further developing his passion for leadership and ministry, but his family's financial circumstances make higher education impossible without support. A sponsor can help him continue this journey and equip him to become a leader who positively impacts his community.
