Growing up in a polygamous family with thirteen children, Moureen Irankunda learned early that difficult circumstances do not define a person's future. Through the Mukono Child Development Program, she received educational support, discovered a personal relationship with Christ, and developed leadership skills that continue to shape her life today. She now faithfully serves in her church's worship and ushering ministries while mentoring younger children.

Moureen has completed high school and dreams of pursuing a degree in Accounting. She hopes to build a career marked by integrity and excellence, support her family, and become a source of hope for her siblings and other young people in her community. Like many NGLP candidates, financial barriers threaten to stop her journey just as she is ready to take the next step.
