Rahman Ssemakula is a resilient and visionary young man whose journey reflects remarkable perseverance and transformation. Raised in a family of eight by hardworking parents—a boda boda rider and a farmer—Rahman overcame significant financial and social challenges to become the first in his family to complete Senior 6. His life was profoundly changed in 2009 when he became sponsored through Africa Renewal Ministries, gaining access to education, life skills, and spiritual growth. Through the Transformational Leadership Training, he embraced values of purpose, resilience, and service. Now, Rahman seeks sponsorship to pursue a Bachelor in Photography and Videography at Africa Renewal University, aiming to use storytelling and visual art to inspire and uplift his community.
