Raised by a single mother after his father left when he was young, Gerald Trinity Lubangakene understands the realities of hardship and perseverance. Growing up in a family of seven children supported through farming and small-scale trade, Gerald learned the value of determination and faith. Through the Child Development Program and his local church, he received educational support, spiritual mentorship, and leadership training that helped him remain focused on his goals despite financial challenges.

Gerald has been admitted to Gulu University to study Quantitative Economics. His dream is to become an economics and development professional who uses research, data, and informed decision-making to fight poverty and create opportunities for disadvantaged communities.
