Since 2011, Wentz Medical Center has served the Ggaba community far beyond its capacity. That reality set the vision for expansion. Construction of a seven-level hospital tower began in January 2025, made possible by $4.5 million raised by the end of 2024.

Once complete, the facility will expand capacity from 30,000 to 100,000 patients annually and increase bed count from 8 to at least 55.

This expansion will do more than meet a growing need for healthcare. It will elevate Wentz from a Level 3 clinic to a Level 4 hospital, offering services once out of reach for this community, and it will open the door to sharing the hopefound in Jesus Christ with many more lives in Ggaba.

UPDATE: As of July 2026, more than $7 million of the $11.5 million goal has been raised. The seven-story hospital tower is nearing completion, with interior finishes now in place. The contractor is finalizing work and will hand the building over to Renewal Healthcare staff in August 2026.

Final payments to the contractor are underway, and equipment will be purchased in three phases as funding comes in. As equipment arrives, this beautiful building will become a functioning hospital, expected to be fully operational by late 2027 with advanced diagnostic services, surgical suites, maternity care, and critical care units for Ggaba and the surrounding region.

Built through faith and partnership, this tower represents the next chapter in delivering whole-person healing to Uganda and beyond.
