Champion a Child
Our current fundraising initiative aims to support a critical cause: the welfare and future of children at risk of returning to poverty. Here's a breakdown of how donations can make a difference:
- $150 helps care for and champion one child.
- $300 supports two children.
- $450 aids three children.
These children are part of our care programs, which have been severely affected by the aftermath of the lockdown in Uganda--which was one of the longest in the world. The economic fallout has led to unemployment and salary cuts, significantly impacting the families we support. Moreover, Uganda is experiencing a 6.8% inflation spike, drastically increasing the cost of essentials like food and energy. This financial strain is making it difficult for these families to meet basic needs, including contributing to their children's education and healthcare costs.

The risks of not meeting our fundraising goal are severe. Children could face restricted access to education and healthcare, increased hunger, and heightened vulnerability to dangers like human trafficking, gangs, and drugs.
In summary, this fundraising effort isn't just about meeting immediate needs; it's about safeguarding the future of these children. Without continued support, they risk being forced back into a life of poverty, undoing the progress made so far. The tone of the campaign should be one of urgency and compassion, emphasizing the transformative impact that listeners' contributions can have on these children's lives.
