LUS04523 Irene lives in Lusaze with her single mother who struggles to provide for the family since her father passed away when she was only 4 years old. Being in the program has not only given Irene the chance to go to school but also allowed her to be mentored and discipled by the staff who have been a source of stability in her life. She is passionate about involvement in church activities like small group Bible studies, fully participates in the program, and has been given leadership roles at Awana. Irene is a lively child who loves to play sports and with friends. She is an excellent student in Primary 2 in school and her favorite subject is reading, but she needs a new sponsor to continue her education and receive assistance from the program.
